Lenka Equestrian Centre MARCH BREAK CAMP 2024
The March Break camp is designed to help all riders prepare for their Ontario Equestrian Rider Level exam, at their applicable level. It is not intended to bump riders up to a level above their current riding abilities.
Offered to rider's level 1-6

March 11-15
Activities Include:
Riders will be paired up with a horse for the week to practice the riding test components and will use the same horse on exam day.
Riders are given works sheets and a mock test to prepare them for the written portion of their exam.
Riders will work through fun activities and games that teach them the stable management requirements of their exam.
On the Friday of the March Break, a certified OE Level 2 coach will come to LEC to run the exam. Parents are welcome to watch and there will be a pizza party to celebrate afterwards!
Benefits to achieving your Ontario Equestrian Rider Levels
What are Rider Levels?
Rider Levels or the "Learn to Ride Program", is Canada-wide testing and certification program set to determine what level your equestrian passion has developed to. It is comparable to swimming badges or grades in piano!
Each Level (1-8) has a list of qualifications that must be proven via testing done by an outside, un-biased certified examiner. The testing is done through written test, stable management demonstrations and a riding exam which includes both a flat and jumping phase (once riders reach the jumping level).
Upon completion of the exam, you will receive a score, if you pass, you receive a certificate and a badge from Ontario Equestrian.

Many barns require a minimum of Level 3 to be able to volunteer

At Level 6 you are qualified as a "Beginner Level Coach"

After passing Level 8 you are comparable to Coaching Level 1

Levels are recognized Canada wide

Certification could help your chances of getting on a University Equestrian team

Registration Information

Camp fee is $450 for the week

Students must bring their own food and drinks

All rider level materials are provided

All riders must have long pants and boots with a small heel

Dress in layers in case of cold weather

Helmets can be provided at no charge

Riders must be registered with Ontario Equestrian

Cost of examination day in an additional fee and will be dependent on the number of students enrolled
Camp runs from 9AM to 4PM. *Paid extended care available before and after camp hours.
How to register:
Download and print the registration form. Fill it out and either bring it with you on your next visit or email a scanned copy to L_E_C@live.com. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold a spot for your preferred week of camp. The remainder of the fee is due on the Friday before the registered camp week.
